What began as a four corner’s stop along the railway to Goderich, Seaforth became know as a quintessential small Ontario town. A community that consists of 2300 people growing over the years from humble beginings.

Being the home to the Van Egmond House, the oldest surviving house in what was originally the Huron Tract. Heritage designations have cemented Seaforth as one of the finest late 19th century streetscapes remaining in the Province. Seaforth is considered today as a hockey town with an amazing ratio of successful hockey players in relation to the population size. A search of past and present NHL players from Seaforth will show you many names like Boyd Devereaux, Charlie Mason, Ryan and Cal O`Reilly, Mike Watt, Rem Murray, Cooney Weiland, and Dave McLlwain. Seaforth is also home to many AHL players, NCAA male and female players, NHL Linesman Scott Driscol, and Olympic Figure Skating Bronze medalist Lloyd Eisler. These are just a few people that have taken what they learned in this small town and gone on to greatness on ice. Twenty five thousand dollars would go a long way to making our Community Centre more accessible to everyone in our community
