Welcome to the 2010-11 Season from SMHA President
Submitted By cmetzger on Tue 09 07, 10
Hello SMHA members,

Another summer has passed us by, and it is time to hit the ice. The SMHA Executive has been working hard since the spring to ensure that things run smoothly.

This is a reminder that POWER SKATING and FIRST SKATES start this week; make sure to have a look at the website calendar to find your times.

This year we have secured the services of Brent Lemon - Hockeyhilites to support us in our team selection process. Brent will be available to our coaches as they work through the sometimes difficult process of completing their rosters. A link to hockeyhilites is provided on our website for your information. If you have any questions about this process please send them our way.

SMHA is a volunteer organization and our success and strength is the responsibility of each member. If we can work together as a team we will provide the role modeling and leadership our children require and deserve. Our children are always watching how we manage things and often learn more about hockey off the ice. Communication is a very important part of an organization and its effectiveness is a good measure of success. Please make sure that if you have thoughts/comments that they get to the people in the organization that can make use of them -managers, coaches, team rep's, Executive members.

We can only work with what comes our way.

It is also important to check the website often. We currently have a couple of activities that require volunteers. Please consider helping us out.

For anyone who still has players to register, Lisa Campbell will be available at the arena:

Tues from 5:30-9
Wed 5:30-6:30
Thurs 4-8
Fri 4:30-10
Sat 11-6 and 8pm-10pm

After these dates anyone who wishes to register will have to do so by emailing Lisa at [email protected] or by phone at 519-527-0521.

I am looking forward to another rewarding hockey season. You have elected another great Executive that you can be certain is working to ensure that your child has the best experience possible. Of course we will not always get it right, but know that we are trying.

Val Millson, President
Seaforth Minor Hockey
