2011-12 SMHA Base Registration Fee Reduced: Rebates Available
Submitted By Craig Metzger on Saturday, August 20, 2011
As a result of stronger than projected registrations by the July 31st deadline and a healthier than expected financial position coming into the season, the Executive has revised the 2011-12 budget and are pleased to be in the position to reduce the base registration fees and offer a rebate to those of our membership who've already registered. Please read on for more information and options regarding the rebate.

Registration income is our largest source of revenue and with this revenue assured SMHA, the base registration for our Mites through Juvenile programs has been reduced by $20. Those players who registered prior to this registration fee reduction are eligible to receive a rebate. Thank you to all families who have registered prior to July 31st, your registration has made it possible to establish our ice needs, pay our association fees, insurance fees and formulate the plan for the upcoming season.

Please note:
1. Those members who have already taken advantage of our discounted registration options, rebates will be prorated (i.e. if you paid a 1/2 price registration you'll only receive a $10 rebate).

2. This rebate does not apply to the House League Only program as registrants in this program did not incur an increase for the 2011-12 season.

Rebate Options:
1. SMHA is pleased to be offering power skating again this fall. Members who would like to secure a spot can contact our Power Skating Coordinator - Jeff McGregor to have your rebate applied as a down payment for power skating. For more information on our Power Skating program please go the Power Skating section of our website. Jeff can be contacted by email at [email protected] to register for power skating.

2. An Executive Member will also be available the first evening of Power Skating, Tuesday September 6th from 4 to 7 pm to issue rebates.
