Seaforth Minor Hockey Netminders & their Coaches Up Early on Sunday Mornings
Submitted By Craig Metzger on Friday, March 16, 2012
On Sunday March 4, 15 local goalies and their coaches wrapped up a 6 week goalie clinic. The clinic was offered through Seaforth Minor Hockey and organized primarily by Frank Flannagan, Kent Wilson, Gerry Gibbs and instructor Andrea Adams.

Andrea Adams, an accomplished goalie from the Brantford area who was featured on Hockey Night in Canada when she was 10 years of age, has been offering her services to the PeeWee Girls team for the last couple of years.

The clinic kicked off with a well attended instruction session for coaches on January 26th, 2012. On ice instruction began on January 29th and ran for 6 consecutive Sunday mornings at 7:30am. The excellent attendance at such an early hour speaks to the dedication of our goalies, their parents and our coaches.

Positive feedback from coaches, smiles on goaltenders' faces and comments from parents such as "I could see a difference in her enthusiasm for the position, skill and confidence after the first session" has organizers planning to kick off next season with another clinic.
