SMHA is looking at hosting a new Sr. Houseleague Program

Seaforth Minor Hockey is interested in resuming a senior house league program for the 2014/ 2015 season. Over the past number of seasons it has become increasingly difficult for all centres to retain bantam, midget and juvenile age players. There are a variety of reasons for this including body checking, time commitment, cost and the increasing amount of teenagers with part time employment. It has become apparent that neither Seaforth Minor Hockey or many neighbouring centres are offering a program which addresses these issues for children / young adults who wish to continue to play some form of hockey. Seaforth Minor Hockey would like to offer a low-cost and small-time commitment senior non-contact house league program for those children / young adults of bantam, midget and first year juvenile age (birth years of 1996-2001) who wish to continue to play some form of recreational hockey. It is anticipated that the program would provide for one game per week from October through the end of February. All games would be held at the Seaforth District Community Centre.  Seaforth Minor Hockey requires a volunteer to set-up, coordinate and over see this program. Seaforth Minor Hockey envisions if there is enough interest in the program that the program would be opened to members of neighbouring centres as well.   Please contact if your child is interested in playing or volunteering to set-up, coordinate or oversee the program by return email to [email protected] if you are interested. If a volunteer cannot be found, we will be unable to offer the program
