Midget LL - Aylmer Regional Silver Stick Winners!
Submitted By Scott Kirton on Wednesday, November 22, 2017
After 3 close games in the preliminary round, the Stars earned a spot in the semi-finals. The Stars arrived in Aylmer Sunday morning to face a tough team from Lefroy, who had beaten up their opponents 20-3 in their first three games.  The boys worked hard and came out on top, backed by outstanding goaltending by Blake Poppe and lead by Colton Bachert's hat trick.  The final score was 5-3.

The final was the Seaforth Stars vs the Cayuga Stars.  The boys came out with the same hardworking attitude that had helped them win in the semis.  Blake was again outstanding and shut the door on many prime scoring chances.  Even late in the game, the boys were working hard to preserve Blake's shutout, sacrificing their bodies to block shots.  The final score was 5-0 It was a well earned championship! Well done boys!
