Coaches Address and Awards - Minor Novice
Submitted By jwatson on Tuesday, April 7, 2020
Seaforth’s Minor Novice team for the 2019/2020 season was made up of 9 very dedicated and hardworking boys.

All of the boys showed great improvement and determination throughout the whole year, some being new to the game kept up with the rest of their teammates and showed some great improvement. From the beginning of the season the team had shown a great amount of bonding and were playing very well together. Throughout the year EVERYONE showed continued improvement with all the skills learned at practice and were able to apply all their new skills to the game settings.  All of the boys took their turn at trying out being a goalie, in the end Lucas Goetz took a shine to it and finished the last half of the season as our full time goalie.

With lots of support from parents and coaches the team was able to excel and take part in tournaments and several games. Unfortunately due to the unforeseen circumstances going on in the World we were unable to finish our season and our year-end Tournament, despite this it was a great season full of laughs and great hockey.

I would like to thank all of the coaching staff and help from the parents and volunteers. Everyone who helped with practice, games and working the door for the team! Thank you.

The team had been asked to nominate three players, most improved, most dedicated and most sportsmanlike. All of the boys showed great strengths in all of this and it was very tough to select just three.

Most Improved – Jaxon Devereaux
Most Dedicated – Lucas Goetz
Most Sportsmanlike – Easton Newbigging

Once again I want to thank everyone who helped the team during the year! Good Job Boys Great Season!
