With a sudden and unexpected end to our season I want to thank all the kids of the Atom LL team for a great and fun season. This season was full of exciting wins and loses, as we worked hard in the tournament’s in Mooretown, Seaforth and being “A” Champs in the Dairy Queen Cup in Exeter. I would like to share my most memorable moment from this season, which was at the Bill Carnochan tournament in Seaforth. The championship game was between the Manvers Mustangs and Seaforth Stars.  This was an edge of your seat, back and forth, hard work by both teams kind of game and one goal was going to separate us in the end.  We were tied at the end of the third period and going into overtime.  Manvers was able to get the win but in the end it wound up to be my highlight game of the year, as it was a thriller of a game and it was amazing seeing the kids represent our town the way they did.

I want to thank the parents who dedicated their time to bring your kids to hockey. I also want to thank our coaching staff for their hard work as Manger, Assistant Coach, Trainer, and Equipment Manager.  For all their hard work on or off the ice, behind the scenes to help with organizing the tournament, coaching on the bench or on the ice, time clocks, and the many skates Jill and Julie tied up and so much more.
Thank you Gerrid Dalton, Julie Campbell, Joe Kamerman, Jill Horan.

With our season suddenly ending, one of the things the Atom LL didn’t get the chance to do was to present a donation in memory of Bill Carnochan during our last Seaforth home game. With the proceeds of the Bill Carnochan tournament and from fundraising through the year, a donation of $1000 will be made to the Tanner Steffler Foundation and to the Huron Hospice. This donation really means a lot to these organizations, so thank you to the Seaforth Atom LL.

Once things return to normal we will still be having our fun day/summer party and would still like to present our donation, so until then I ask that everyone write a little something of their most memorable moment of this season, and we can share it in the photo book that Julie will be creating.

Thanks and stay safe  Stars, on three 1 2 3 GO STARS GO!!
