Submitted By Nicole Devereaux on Thursday, September 2, 2021
Message from Gerrid Dalton, President of Seaforth Minor Hockey
Welcome to the 2021/22 Season for the Seaforth Stars!! When we hit the ice next month it will be nine months since we had teams on the ice. I can tell you I am looking forward to seeing kids back in the arena and playing the game they all enjoy!  Seaforth Minor Hockey Executive are planning for a "normal" hockey season. Teams will be first hitting the ice September 18th with the preparation phase for U9 and up, followed by evaluations and try outs, beginning September 27th. Our U7 kids will be on the ice the week of October 4th. The entire Executive is working hard to make sure plans are in place for a great season.

Tentative Start Dates

As noted in our welcome message, below are the TENTATIVE start dates and are subject to change.

On Ice Player Development: Beginning September 18

Evaluations and Tryouts (when applicable): Beginning September 27

U7 players first date: Week of October 4

Rowan’s Law

Completion of Rowan’s Law is mandatory by 1 parent or guardian each hockey season, please complete prior to September 10th. Please visit Rowan’s Law Acknowledgement to complete.

U5 (2017 born players)

At this point in time, Seaforth Minor Hockey offers programs for those players born in 2016 or later. This year we've had several inquiries from parents wondering if we can offer a program for the U5 (2017 born) age. While we are still reviewing the possibility, the executive wanted to open a survey to gauge interest if in fact we are able to offer a program. If you have a child showing an interest in hockey and is born in 2017 please take a few minutes to complete THIS SURVEY. If you have already expressed an interest to any Seaforth Minor Hockey Executive we ask that you still complete the form so we have a concise master list and no one is missed.
