2017 Perkes Tournament Shoot-out Challenge

All players participating in the tournament, both shooters and goalies, may participate in the optional Shoot-out Challenge. There is no maximum number of participants.

The cost for each participant, whether shooter or goalie, to participate in the Shoot-out Challenge is $10.

Each shooter gets 3 shots per round with the winner of each round advancing to the next round.

A player must score to advance. If neither player scores they are both eliminated (unless they are last two remaining shooters in the Finals of the Challenge, in which case they will continue until there is a winner).

Goalies will be rated on save percentage with those goalies with the higher save percentages advancing to the Finals on Saturday.

The number of shooters and goalies advancing from the Preliminary Rounds to the Finals will be dependent on the number of participants.

Preliminary rounds will be held at both the Seaforth and Hensall arenas on Friday as follows:

Seaforth arena at 1:40pm for shooters and goalies from:

                           West Lorne

Hensall arena at 2:10pm for shooters and goalies from:

                           Bruce Peninsula

                           Lambton Shores

                           South Huron

Registration for the shoot-outs is done just inside the entrance to the arena in which the shooter or goalie will be participating as identified in the above team list. Registration can also be done online before the tournament through the tournament website: Shoot-out Challenge Registration (although they still need to pay the $10 when they get to the arena to confirm their registration).

The Shoot-out Finals will be held on Saturday at 1:40pm at the Seaforth arena for those shooters and goalies that have advanced from the Preliminary rounds. The list of advancing shooters and goalies will be posted to the tournament website later in the day on Friday.

Decisions of the Shoot-out Challenge officials throughout the Challenge, including who advances to the Finals, are not open to appeal.
